PURPOSE:To easily measure the concn. of a substrate by forming an enzyme reaction layer contg. an oxidation reduction enzyme, hydrophilic high polymer and electron receptor on the surface of an electrode system and further adding a material which makes exothermic reaction at the time of dissolution. CONSTITUTION:The electrode system consisting of a counter electrode 2 and a measuring electrode 3 is formed on an insulating substrate 1. The electrode system is then partially coated and an insulating layer 4 is so formed as to leave parts 2', 3' which act electrochemically on the respective electrodes. The enzyme reaction layer contg. the hydrophilic high polymer, the oxidation reduction enzyme and the electron receptor is in succession formed to cover the surfaces of the parts 2', 3'. Further, magnesium chloride 6 is deposited as the material to make the exothermic reaction at the time of dissolution near the electrodes. The concn. of the substrate in a vital sample is easily measured in this way and the influence of temp. is relieved by the exothermic material, by which the accuracy of the measurement is improved. |
