<p>PURPOSE:To obtain good printing and to prevent the leakage of ink or the adhesion thereof to an unnecessary part by changing the ink supplied in a solid state to a liquid or high viscosity sticky state and adhering the ink to a plate selectively to print an object to be printed. CONSTITUTION:Fine granular solid ink 4 is stored in a developing device 3 and stirred by a developing brush 5 to be prevented from flocculation and charged frictionally to be attracted and applied to a plate 1 to form an ink layer 6. Next, when the ink layer 6 is irradiated with laser beam 7 in a pulse like state corresponding to printing data in the direction vertical to the rotary direction of the plate 1, the ink particles of the ink layer 6 of the irradiated part 8 are respectively melted mutually to be connected and become spot like liquid droplets 9 having a diameter almost equal to the irradiation diameter of the laser beam 7. Next, the liquid droplets 9 are transferred to the surface of a transfer drum 10 under pressure to be brought to transfer droplets 11 which are, in turn, transferred to the paper 12 moving in a direction 16 to form a printed image 14 using a fixing roller 13 and the unnecessary ink remaining on the transfer drum 10 is removed by a cleaner 15.</p> |
