PURPOSE:To improve short turning ability during low speed running and running stability during high speed running by a method wherein when a car speed is low, rear wheels are steered in a high steering angle arc, and meanwhile, with the increase in a car speed, control is effected so that the rear wheels are further strongly energize to bring them into a neutral state. CONSTITUTION:With a handle 14 steered, left and right front wheels FW1 and FW2 are steered in the same direction as a steering direction trough a rack bar 11. A plurality of cables 73 and 74 are selectively pulled, and left and right rear wheels RW1 and RW2 are steered in the same phase as or a reverse phase to those of the front wheels FW1 and FW2 through a relay rod 31. In this case, when a rear wheel steering cancel switch 56 is in an OFF-state, based on a detecting signal from a car speed sensor 57, a plurality of throttle openings of an electromagnetic flow dividing valve 54 are controlled by an electric control circuit 55. With the increase in a car speed, the feed of working oil to a power cylinder is decreased, and displacement in the direction of the axis of a relay rod 31 is suppressed. |
