PURPOSE:To obtain uniform-quality printings regardless of the sizes of letters and print areas by a method in which printing is made by transmitting the force of a motor to a hammer part through a spring. CONSTITUTION:A hammer 14 is always energized toward the opposite side of a type wheel 9 by means of a spring 15, and its end 16 is in contact with a lever 17 by which the hammer 14 is driven toward the type wheel 9 side. A lever 17 is pivotally supported on a carrier and attached with springs 18 and 19 to determine the pressing force of the type wheel 9 to a platen 8 during the printing period. The other end of the spring 18 is connected to a pressure control lever 21 attached to a motor 20 controlling printing pressures, and the other end of the spring 19 is positioned in such a place that it can be coupled at a turning angle of the lever 21. |
