The narrow sides of the cutting insert or the cutting-edge holder (2) are guided at least in sections (10, 11) by means of two opposite guide surfaces (6, 7) of the tool shank (1). A flat bearing face (8, 9) in each case adjoins each of the two guide surfaces (6, 7) at right angles to them and to the wall (3).
