PURPOSE:To increase a crushing speed and to markedly reduce the abrasion quantity of round stones, in a method for crushing a ceramic powder by a medium stirring type crusher, by respectively setting the peripheral speed of a stirrer, the diameter of the round stones and the filling amount thereof to suitable values. CONSTITUTION:A medium stirring type crusher is equipped with a crushing container, a stirrer composed of ceramics based on zirconia and round balls composed of ceramics based on zirconia, zircon or titania. The peripheral speed of said stirrer is set to 10m/s or more and the filling amount of round stones is set to a range of 65-85% on a bulk basis and, further, a ceramic powder is crushed using round stones having a diameter of 1mm or less. By this method, the ceramic powder can be finely crushed within a short time in an extremely easy manner so as to have a particle size of submicron or less. |
