PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive woven fabric suitable for charging the surfaces of photosensitive units, such as electrophotographic copiers, etc., or sufficiently removing toners from the surfaces of the photosensitive units by thermally adhering carbon component contained in an India ink solution to the surface part of various woven fabrics. CONSTITUTION:Various woven fabrics are heated in an aqueous solution of India ink in 0.15-5wt.% concentration to provide an electrically conductive woven fabric containing carbon component in the India ink solution fixed thereto. A cellulosic pile fabric is preferably used as the woven fabric and regulated to provide an electrical resistance value per unit area within the range of 10<5> to 10<8>OMEGA. A stable woven fabric in a high fixing concentration is obtained by repeatedly heating and dyeing the fabric with the aqueous solution of the India ink of the same or different concentrations after drying rather than fixing treatment at a time. Thereby, the electrically conductive woven fabric suitable for static eliminating and charging brushes hardly damaging surfaces of photosensitive units is obtained. |
