PURPOSE:To reduce the suction pressure loss of a scroll compressor by a method wherein spot facing is applied to the bottom surface of teeth at the ending part of the rolling of a fixed scrol so as to be deeper than the end face of suction pipe to smooth the up-and-down motion of a piston. CONSTITUTION:The ending part 12 of the roll of the fixed scroll 2 is worked into a shape like a circular arc so as to be deeper than the bottom surface 17 of teeth and the end face 16 of the suction pipe. According to the spot facing 21, the piston 19 becomes movable smoothly to the end face 16 of the suction pipe 4. Additionally, an opening area between the cylindrical part 15 of a suction port and the ending part 12 of the roll is increased, therefore, suction may be effected without generating the pressure loss. This effect effects greatly in a small-capacity machine having a small height in the teeth of the scroll. |
