摘要 PURPOSE:To increase C/N and to improve a recording life and economy by forming the layers of the fine hollow high-polymer particles which are sealed internally with a material to absorb laser light, have a specific particle size and has a specific difference in refractive index between an outer contour material and a circumferential material. CONSTITUTION:The fine hollow high-polymer particles 12 which are internally sealed with pigment 13 to absorb the laser light, have >=0.2mum grain size and have >=0.03 difference in the refractive index between the outer contour material thereof and the circumferential member are provided in >=1 layers on the substrate 11, by which the optical recording medium is formed. Bits 21 consisting of the pigment layers 23a are recorded if the particles 12 are thermally decomposed by irradiation of the laser light 22 from the substrate 11 side. The bits having the distinct outer contour shapes are formed by the specific grain size of the particles 12 at this time and the fluctuation in the refractive index is decreased and the irregular reflections are decreased by the difference in the refractive index from the circumferential member. The deterioration by thermal disturbance is lessened as the layers consisting of the particles 12 are independent. The optical recording medium which has the high C/N and the enhanced recoding life and economy is obtd. in this way.
