PURPOSE: To allow a viewer to easily select a desired channel by utilizing a picture-in-picture function or a multi-screen to display images on a display device as a multi-channel and allowing the viewer to attain multi-channel selection according to a menu system. CONSTITUTION: The multi-channel system adopting the PIP system is available independently of tuners 1, 2 and in the case of the multi-channel mode, the PIP control operation is conducted in the following sequence. When the multi- channel key is closed, the multi-channel mode is carried out and when a synchronizing signal is in existence in a channel to be skipped in the multi-channel, the channel is used for a valid channel. 'π' of this channel indicates a PIP rotate data output, '1' denotes a PIP stop data output and '2' depicts a rotate data output. Furthermore, '3' indicates an output of starting channel selection by a tuner and an output of automatic fine-tuning operation of a tuner denoted by '4' is outputted after tuning. |
