PURPOSE:To increase a difference of output from that at a double feed and surely detect the double feed, by feeding back an output to an amplifier and decreasing an amplification factor when the output exceeding an estimated slice level of a single feed is detected. CONSTITUTION:When slips mixed with kg weight series, for instance, 70kg, 90kg, 110kg are conveyed, an output of one sheet 110kg is estimated to set the first slice level 15, if a double feed, for instance, an output of two sheets 70kg exceeding the level 15 is detected, a device is constituted such that an output of a comparator 16 is fed back to an amplifier 13 to decrease an amplification factor. In this way, its output level approximates to a case of no slip to increase a difference from the one sheet 110kg, and if the second slice level 17 for double feed detection is intermediately set, a margin is increased and the double feed can be surely detected. |
