PURPOSE:To fetch the necessary band of an ultrasonic signal without loss by storing many driving voltage waveforms of a transducer and properly selecting the driving voltage waveform according to the transducer to be used. CONSTITUTION:In a waveform data storage device 5, many voltage waveform data for driving the transducer are stored. When an emission trigger pulse is inputted to a waveform data reading circuit 8, the waveform data reading circuit 8 outputs address data according to a reading clock from a reading clock generating circuit 9. A controller 7 outputs a control signal to a waveform data selecting circuit 6 so as to select the optimum driving voltage waveform to the characteristic of the transducer to be used, and the selecting circuit 6 outputs a high order address according to the driving waveform data to be used. On the other hand, respective data in the areas selected by the high order address data are read by low order address data from the waveform data reading circuit 8. In such a way, the optimum driving voltage waveform according to the transducer to be used can be selected, and the ultrasonic wave of the necessary band the be efficiently fetched. |
