PURPOSE:To avoid troubles of money even when a copy is not ejected owing to a fault, by determining whether copying operation is further to be continued or not according to the number of fed sheets of paper, and also by reckoning the amount of thrown money by calculating the remaining amount of money on the basis of the number of ejected copies. CONSTITUTION:As money is entered, the amount of money is set in the register 21 of the 1st arithmetic means 2 and also set in the register 31 of the 2nd arithmetic means 3 as well. The value set in the register 31 is compared with the unit price of a copy by a comparator 33 and when the set value is greater than the unit price, a copy control means 4 makes a copying machine usable. If a fault such as a jam occurs during operation, a fault signal is outputted from the copying-machine control means 4. At this time, when a user requests a change, a change paying means 7 operates to return the amount of money corresponding to the amount in the register 21, i.e., the remainder calculated by subtracting the amount for the ejected number of copies from the amount of money thrown in. |
