PURPOSE:To obtain good binding capability, battery performance, and battery life by containing a specified amount of carbon fibers as conductive material. CONSTITUTION:When 0.5-25wt.% carbon fibers are contained as conductive material, retention of active material and its adhesion to a current collector are increased. The content of fluororesin binder can be decreased to 2-0.5wt.% and covering of active material and carbon fibers with the binder is decreased, and conductivity and current collecting capability are increased and the amount of active material can also be increased. If graphitized carbon fibers are used, charge-discharge performance and strength are increased and the electrical performance of a positive electrode is increased. Good adhesion, battery performance, and long battery life can be obtained. |
