A compression-vacuum percussion device comprises, mounted in a casing (1), a working instrument (7) and a cylinder (2) with a driven piston (3) and a striker (4) provided with a chamfer (10) on its end-face intended for interaction with the working instrument (7), as well as a striker catch (4) consisting of a tubular element (11) provided with an annular groove (13) in which is mounted an elastic ring (14). The tubular element (11) is provided with an internal annular protrusion (15) whose diameter is smaller than that of the internal wall (12) of the tubular element (11), the annular protrusion (15) being located at the end-face of the tubular element (11), which faces the striker (4). The internal diameter (d) of the elastic ring (14) is smaller than the diameter (D) of the section (9) of the striker (4), which is located behind its chamfer (10).
