The invention relates to disposable cartridges for electrophotographic recording devices such as copiers or laser printers, which, in addition to a residual toner container (14), have other parts such as loading station etc. which are important for its functioning. Since the additional parts are also removed when the cartridge with the residual toner is thrown away, the environment is burdened (polluted) to a considerable degree, seen from the ecological point of view. The additional parts also add considerably to the price of the disposable cartridge. These disadvantages are reduced according to the invention in that the residual toner container (14) has at least on one freely accessible transverse side a hole (21) which serves as outlet opening for the residual toner and is provided with a thread, and which can be closed in a dust-tight manner by a threaded plug (22) which can be screwed out for discharging the residual toner. As a result, it is possible to use the disposable cartridge several times, leading to a considerably lower pollution of the environment. Since the service life of the other functional parts on the disposable cartridge is utilised in a better manner, this also results in considerably lower copier costs. <IMAGE>
