<p>The invention relates to a lift gate consisting of a platform (3-4) capable of being placed in a horizontal position; a coupling arm (9) connecting the platform to a chassis; a lifting jack (15) coupled between the chassis (1) and the arm (9) intended for the adjustment of the relative position of the platform with respect to the chassis; and a tilt-adjusting jack (12) coupled between the arm and the platform, intended for the adjustment of the tilt of the platform with respect to the horizontal, the said platform being, to this end, mounted pivotably about an axis (11) which is horizontal with respect to the arm (9). According to the invention, the platform consists of a frame (3) pivoting with respect to the arm (9) and coupled to the tilt-adjusting jack (12); of an upper floor (4) which is itself pivoting relative to the frame (3) about a horizontal axis (5); and of a member for adjusting any relative pivoting of the floor with respect to the frame.
