PURPOSE:To necessitate a smaller amt. of an emulsion to be used and to increase the yield of the toner as well as to obtain the toner which has high image quality and excellent blocking resistance and durability by adding fine magnetic particles to an emulsion polmn. liquid contg. polymer particles and solidifying the liquid. CONSTITUTION:The emulsion polmn. liquid contg. the polymer particles is produced by emulsion polymn. of polymerizable monomers and the fine magnetic particles having >=5m<2>/g specific surface area are mixed with the resultant emulsion polmn. liquid. Other additives are added thereto at need and an aq. dispersant (slurry) thereof is added thereto. The liquid is sufficiently mixed and dispersed to form the uniform liquid mixture; thereafter the particles in the liquid mixture are solidified to attain the grain size adequate for the toner. The resolution, gradation characteristic, image density, cleaning method, blocking resistance, and electrostatic charge stability are improved in this way. |
