PURPOSE:To always and accurately restore information if errors occur by rereading information when the errors occur in the reproduction of information and substituting data on an error part for accurate data among original information. CONSTITUTION:When there is the errors in data 1 obtained by reproducing a certain piece of information in a magnetic file driving device 101, they are inputted to an error part specifying circuit 3A, which specifies in which part of data 1 the errors exist. The errors generally occur at random, and it frequently occurs that the error parts of data reproduced from the same record and retried data 2 differ. Consequently, a data substitution circuit 3B substitutes the place that the error part specifying circuit 3A has specified among data 1 for retried data 2. Thus, data can accurately be reproduced even if data cannot accurately be restored in conventional technique. |
