PURPOSE: To adjust the phase of two quadrature phase signals by configuring the phase shifter to provide an output of a quadrature phase with two flip-flop circuits and adjusting the offset of an input switch through the use of them. CONSTITUTION: A flip-flop switching device is made up of input transistors(TRs) T5-T16, among which the TRs T9, T10, T13-T16 are used for a switching device of a master flip-flop. If the TRs T14, T15 have an emitter region different from that of the other TRs, an input offset is adjusted by supplying a current to a point a) or b). Suppose that all currents flowing to the point, e.g. b) flow through the TRs T13, T15, T6, T8, the linearity is improved because a switching offset ΔV is expressed as ΔV=ΔVbe =Kt/q.logn, where ΔV is a voltage, K is Boltzmann's constant, T is a temperature, q is an electric charge, and n is the number of electron charges. |
