PURPOSE:To accurately judge the uptake of a radioactive material into the body of a person to be inspected by providing a weight meter which measures the weight of the person and correcting the background count value by inputting the weighing value of the weight meter. CONSTITUTION:A weight meter 5 which measures the weight of a person 1 to be inspected, which is proportional to the amount of natural radioactivity which is held in and discharged from the body of the person 1 as a composition of the body, is provided and the weighing value of the meter 5 is inputted to a signal processor 6 for correcting the background count value of the person 1. Thus the amount of natural radioactivity <40>K of the person himself is calculated by the signal processor 6 from the weighing value of the meter 5 and the uptake quantity in the background count value is corrected. Therefore, the natural radioactivity of the person 1 himself can be distinguished clearly from the uptake of a radioactive material into the body of the person 1 and the uptake deciding accuracy can be improved.
