PURPOSE:To ensure the chucking of a cone tail part by providing plural rotation driving means movable in the radial direction of a work on the device main body freely movable in the axial direction of the work and fitting a polishing tool on the rotation driving means. CONSTITUTION:When a device main body 1 is moved in the axial direction of a work W and the grinding tool 8 provided on the output shaft of plural air motors 7 is abutted to the coke part Wa of the work W, the movement of the main body 1 is stopped and chucked. The grinding tool 8 is then rotated and the work cone part Wa is ground in the radial direction by the grinding tool 8 with the air motor 7 being moved in the work radial direction by the movement of a cam 13. It is then stopped at the time when the grinding amt. reaches a certain value. Consequently the cone part Wa is surely subjected to chucking uniformly by plural grinding tools 8.
