PURPOSE:To easily execute a focusing operation, by providing an electrode on cover glass and an objective lens, and measuring an electrostatic capacity between each electrode. CONSTITUTION:On cover glass 2 and an objective lens 4, on slide glass 1 placed on the stage of a microscope, an electrode 3 and 5 are provided, respectively. An electrostatic capacity C between the electrode 3 and 5 is measured, and it is compared with an electrostatic capacity C0. C is inversely proportional to a distance (d) between the electrodes, therefore, the microscope stage or the objective lens 4 are moved up and down by a motor, etc., and are stopped at a point of C=C0. In this way, the focusing operation is executed easily. |
