PURPOSE:To industrially advantageously obtain the subject optically active ester useful for intermediate of medicine or optically active liquid crystal material, etc., by reacting of ester-interchange of triglyceride and 2-alkanol in anhydrous state and in the presence of powdery lipase. CONSTITUTION:Triglyceride (e.g., tributyrin) and 2-alkanol (e.g., RS-2-octanol) are subjected to ester-interchange reaction in anhydrous condition and adding powdery lipase with stirring at 30 deg.C temperature for 50 hour to selectively esterify R(-)-2-alkanol. After finish of reaction, reacted liquid is dissolved in hexane, etc., and filtered to remove powdery lipase, then the solvent is eluted, thus the residue is distilled under reduced pressure to afford the aimed optically active ester of 2-alkanol. |
