PURPOSE:To substantially enhance the reliability of a battery by filling resin from gates installed on the inner wall of a ring-shaped cavity, solidifying the resin in the cavity, and cutting the resin of the gates. CONSTITUTION:Resin is filled in a cavity 3 through a gate 1 and film gates 2. After the resin was solidified, the resin in the film gates is punched with a punch or out with a cutter to form an insulating gasket 4. The gasket 4 is used to manufacture a coin type lithium battery. The gate burrs are formed on the inner wall of the gasket 4. No gap is produced between the gasket 4 and a metallic outer can and this results in good sealing capability. In addition, no gate burrs are trapped by the guide of a part feeder. |
