PURPOSE:To simplify a processing and to realize high speed processing by accepting all reception I frames without checking whether or not a transmission sequence number in I frames received by each equipment is a correct value in the order. CONSTITUTION:In the case of the processing of a data link layer of a communication equipment applying the communication with an equipment according to the protocol of HDLC for the processing of the data link layer, the information frame (I frame) is regarded as normal reception regardless of whether or not the transmission order number N(S) representing the order of the received I frame is correct to accept the I frame. Thus, the processing load of the data link layer of the equipment (its own equipment) communicating with the equipment (opposite equipment) applying data link layer processing according to the HDLC protocol or similar thereto is relieved without contradiction to the opposite equipment and the processing delay time in its own equipment is shortened.
