PURPOSE:To rationally and economically granulate melt by supplying a compd. in a molten state between two rotary rolls wherein at least one roll has a plurality of grooves in the surface and the rotating shafts are made parallel and cutting or pulverizing a molded sheet. CONSTITUTION:A compd. in a molten state is supplied between two rolls where in a plurality of grooves are formed in the surface of at least one roll and the rotating shafts are made parallel. Melt is granulated by rotating the rolls and thereby extruding a stringlike material or a sheetlike material wherein a plurality of strings are bonded from the compd. in the molten state through the grooves and furthermore cutting or pulverizing the obtained extruded mate rial. As the embodiment of the above-mentioned melt, polyolefin, polyamide and polyester, etc., are shown. The utilized rolls have a plurality of grooves 2 in the surface of the roll main body 1 and are constituted by combining two pieces of rolls thereof or combining this roll with a plane roll. |
