PURPOSE:To efficiently impregnate a multidimensional cloth of carbon fiber with a condensed polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon (COPNA) resin by impregnating the multidimensional cloth with an initial reaction solution prepared by heating raw material components of the COPNA resin, continuing heating and forming the COPNA resin. CONSTITUTION:A polycyclic aromatic compound, a crosslinking agent and an acid catalyst, etc., which are raw material components of COPNA resin are heated at 110-180 deg.C to form a homogeneous initial reaction solution. In this stage, a multidimensional cloth of carbon fiber is impregnated therewith and heating is further continued to increase the viscosity of the initial reaction product in the interior of the cloth. Thereby, the COPNA resin is formed. |
