A cationization of cellulose fiber useful for 1 step dyeing of blended fabric of cotton with wool, silk or nylon, is carried out by substitution of hydroxy gp. to amine gp. Thus the cellulose fiber is carbamoyl-ethylated with hydroxy- or amine-contg. chemicals (I) such as acrylamide or allyl urea followed by aminating of amine with sodium hypo halogenate to give cationized fiber.
