PURPOSE:To obtain the title adhesive having high viscosity, uniform fine foams, improving bonding performance of flame-retardant wood by making a formaldehyde-based resin solution, a specific anionic surfactant and protein into a foam-containing paste solution having specific viscosity. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. formaldehyde-based resin solution (one prepared by reacting melamine, etc., with formaldehyde, etc.) is blended with 0.1-3 pts.wt. anionic surfactant containing a sulfone group and a carboxyl group in the molecule, 0.2-10 pts.wt. protein (e.g., wheat gluten) swelling or dissolving in water at normal temperature, further optionally 0-75 pts.wt. aqueous emulsion, 0-5 pts.wt. water-soluble polymer (e.g., methyl cellulose), etc., expanded by using a foaming device to give the aimed adhesive having 100-500poise viscosity at 25 deg.C, <=0.6g/cm<3> density and containing >=50% foams having <=500mum diameter of foam immediately after expanding. |
