PURPOSE:To prevent a current from concentrating at a contact part and make current density uniform by forming a lead wire into a disk-shaped one or a mesh-shaped one in a positive direction at the contact part of electrodes formed on both electrode surfaces with the lead wire while forming the same into a line-shaped one in a negative direction. CONSTITUTION:A sintered product is formed by subjecting powder, which takes zinc oxide as a chief ingredient, to processes of mixing, granulation, forming, and calcination, and opposite silver electrodes 2 are formed on both poles of the resulting element and sintered. In such a manner, a voltage-dependent nonlinear resistor element 1 of a 20mm diameter, a 1.0mm diameter, and varistor voltage V1mA=100V is prepared. The lead wire 3 is previously subjected to plating by soldering. The lead wire 3 is inserted into the element immersed in a flux is dipped in 230-240 deg.C eutectic point solder. After dipped, the flux is cleaned and removed with an organic solvent. However, since creapage discharge is caused if a withstand test to a surge current is performed as it is, the element is coated with epoxy resin of that test.
|
