PURPOSE:To prevent troubles due to temperature even if the size is miniaturized by blowing air directly to a protection cover from an air discharge duct and forming an air curtain. CONSTITUTION:The air discharge duct 17 is provided nearby the protection cover 13 on the side of a photosensitive body 1 and the air is blown directly to the protection cover 13 to form the air curtain. The air blown directly to the protection cover 13 forms a thermal border layer of the air curtain along the protection cover and this thermal border layer cuts off heat conduction from the heat fixing device for electrophotography to the photosensitive body side effectively, so the gaps among parts such as the electrophotographic heat fixing device, a cleaner, and photosensitive drum are narrowed down and the size is easily miniaturized at low cost. |
