PURPOSE:To suppress deterioration of potential by electrification and rise of residual potential at the time of repeated uses by incorporating a vinyl monomer having a carbazole group and/or its derivative group and a specified compound in an electric charge transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body has on a conductive substrate a charge generating layer and the charge transfer layer containing the vinyl monomer having the carbazole group and/or its derivative group and the organic compound represented by formula I in which A is an N- substituted carbazolyl group or a group of formula II; Ar is an aromatic hydrocarbon group or heterocyclic group; and each of R<1> and R<2> is optionally substituted alkyl or such aryl, thus permitting stable electric characteristics to be obtained even if environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, vary, and drop of potential by electrification and rise of residual potential to be reduced even at the time of repeated uses. |
