PURPOSE:To hold the air tightness between the inside and outside of a vehicle, maintain the exterior appearance and reduce reaction by forming the front end of the vehicle of a hard quality base member and a soft quality seal lip formed integrally on the distal end of said member to extend therearound for concealing a small space in the approximately central portion of said front end. CONSTITUTION:A seal lip 7 forming a seal member 8 is extended vertically around the distal end 5a of a base member 5, so that said lip 7 can compensate for dimensional errors while concealing a small space alpha even if the small space alphavertically formed between a hood outer panel 3 and a car body member 9 has a proper dimensional error. Also, the small space can be prevented from water content and dust or the like intruding from the outside of a vehicle into the hood panel 2 in the travelling of the vehicle. Further, the reaction of the lip 7 is reduced to prevent the operability from degradation due to the reaction when the panel 2 is closed. Further, since the lip 7 is bent when the panel 2 is closed, the jutting of the lip is prevented to maintain the exterior appearance satisfactorily even if the small space alpha is dimensioned smaller than that of a predetermined dimension. |
