PURPOSE:To obtain a covered elastic yarn having excellent luster, transparent feeling, softness and durability and suitable as a raw material for panty hose by winding a specific polyamide synthetic fiber multifilament yarn around a core yarn composed of an elastic fiber. CONSTITUTION:The objective elastic yarn is produced by winding a specific polyamide synthetic fiber multifilament yarn such as nylon 6 or nylon 66 around a core yarn composed of an elastic yarn such as polyurethane yarn. The polyamide yarn has a relative viscosity of >=2.8, a single filament fineness of 1.0-3.5d, the total fineness of 5-20d, a tenacity of >=6.0g/d and a multilobed cross-section having 3-8 lobes. The non-circularity of the polyamide yarn is 1.03-1.15 on an average over all filaments. |
