PURPOSE:To connect members to be connected by a press welding method without any burr on the inside surfaces by using a material of shrinkable structure or a shape storage alloy between the joining positions of the pipe members. CONSTITUTION:A core 1 using a shape storage alloy is inserted between at least respective opposed connecting end parts 3, 3 of a pair of pipe members 2, 2 which are members to be connected so as to fill the internal space 4 of the members 2 substantially. Thereafter the members 2, 2 are connected by a press welding or welding means. Since the core 1 fills the space 4 between the parts 3, 3 of the members 2, 2, the generation of burrs on the inside surfaces is prevented. After the connection, the core 1 is shrunk by an automatic or external means so as to form a space between the inside surfaces of the members 2, and the core is easily removed from the connected pipe members. |
