摘要 PURPOSE:To brighten the machining position and to clearly observe a material to be machined by providing an illumination optical system to illuminate the material to be machined from the upper part of a reflection mirror, an optical system to observe the material to be machined through the reflection mirror and a machining lens at the light source side of a laser beam with respect to the reflection mirror. CONSTITUTION:The illumination optical system to illuminate the material 4 to be machined consists of a half mirror 15, an optical fiber 18 and an optical fiber exiting end 19. An illumination beam of light 23 which is transmitted by the optical fiber 18 and exits from the optical fiber exiting end 19 and is made to the parallel beam of light by a lens 17 is reflected by the half mirror 15 and irradiates the material to be machined. The illumination beam of light 23 reflected by the half mirror 15 irradiates the material 4 to be machined through a dichroic mirror 2 and a slide type gas nozzle 20. The optical system to observe the material 4 to be machined consists of a telecamera 5 and a filter 16 and a beam of light which is projected from the illumination optical system and reflected on the surface of the material 4 to be machined is observed from the telecamera 5 through the slide type gas nozzle 20, the dichroic mirror 2, the half mirror 15 and the filter 16 to cut the laser beam 1.
