摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer image with superior hot press and dry cleaning properties by providing an ink layer based mainly on the homopolymer of methyl methacrylate or the copolymer of methyl methacrylate with a glass transition point of 80 deg.C or more, polyvinyl alcohol and a coloring agent. CONSTITUTION:An ink layer used consists mainly of the homopolymer of methyl methacrylate or the copolymer of methyl methacrylate with a glass transition point of 80 deg.C or more, polyvinyl alcohol. The homopolymer of methyl methacrylate or its copolymer has a glass transition point (Tg) of 80 deg.C or more and the type used is one which is mechanically dispersed as fine particles in water using a ball mill or a sand mill, or is polymerized through emulsification. The preferable average particle diameter is 3mum or less. The preferable polyvinyl alcohol has a degree of saponification of 70 to 100% and a degree of polymerization of 200 to 2,000. The best suited coloring agent to the ink layer is carbon black or other inorganic or organic pigment and its ideal content is about 10 to 20% by weight of the total ink layer weight.
