PURPOSE: To minimize the probability to provide a patient any stimulus, by preparing a swab end with independent void polymer foam by providing the swab end soft and elastic properties. CONSTITUTION: A swab end 32 to contact with and collect a bio-sample is provided at a remote end 27. The swab end 32 is prepared with independent void foam, and is softer and more elastic than a handle 21 is. The swab contains preferably a convexity to collect the bio-samples. The convexity to preferable in particular when collecting a sample from a both path such as throat of a patient and so forth, when a round convexity at the swab end has little danger to stimulate the patient. Therefore, the convexity of the swab end 32 is spherical, and at the surface a discontinuous part to make easy to collect the bio- sample and of a concavity-groove-shape with a main axis extending along a lengthwise direction. Preferably, these axis is inclined at an angle of 45-90 degree for a vertical axis 30 at a remote end of the handle. |
