Apparatus for removing wire straps (B) from a strap-bending machine, with a rotatable star-shaped arrangement (18) of collecting arms, which is movable up to the inclined bending plane (1) of the bending machine and the collecting arms (19) of which can be rotated successively into the collecting position in order to receive in each case a predetermined number of wire straps. In the collecting position, they are directed towards a collecting point in the bending plane, the said collecting point being situated in the region of the bending and cut-off tools, the star-shaped arrangement of collecting arms being rotatable in a swivel head (16) at the free end of a supporting arm (10) which projects across the bending plane, can be extended telescopically and is guided along the bending plane with translational mobility, and the inclination of the star-shaped arrangement of collecting arms being adjustable relative to the bending plane by swivelling the swivel head.
