A method of vulcanizing an eleastomer in a vulcamizing chamber using a mixt. of a low thermal capacity gas and a high thermal capacity thermal fluid, is composed of a) introducing the low thermal capacity gas (G) and the high thermal capacity thermal gluid (S) into a mixer (4), b) vulcanizing the elastomer using the mixt. that has been fed into the vulcanizing chamber from the start of the vulcanizing process, and c) measuring the actual temp. and the pressure in the vulcanizing chamber or in the mixer all the time during the process of vulcanization and controlling the supply.
