Preparation of epoxy and phenoxy resins is composed of feeding to an extruder the following components either separately or in an admixture in any combination: (A) a material having an av. or more than one vicinal epoxy gp. per mol.; (B) a material having attatched to it an av. of more than one moiety reacting with (A) per mol.; (C) Opt. a cat. for promoting the reaction between (A) and (B): (D) Opt. one or more chain terminators.
