CFC disposal from refrigerators discarded as waste

Disposal is facilitated by the CFC of the discarded waste being permanently enclosed in a gastight manner in useful objects and use of the CFC-containing parts is changed and extended. This results in the fields of application being broadened, the useful life being prolonged and the use of new CFCs being reduced. Only ultimate disposal has to be performed by destroying material. Figure 7.1 shows as an example of changed application of a refrigerator use in a spandrel underneath the window (29). The dark panels of the decorative layer (7.2), as an absorbing surface, absorb energy from the outside air (20), which can be kept temporarily in the storage composition (7.1) and passes via the evaporator (12) into the cooling circuit, via the compressor (11) to the condenser (13), where it gives off heat to the room (22) to be heated.
