<p>PURPOSE: To accurately set an envelope at a cutting edge for cutting a slip of paper only by providing in a shaft along the almost axial line of the shaft a slender recess with a first cutting edge at the outside edge, the recess having a sufficient given depth to insert the edge of the envelope between first and second cutting edges. CONSTITUTION: The upper end or the side edge of an envelope 25 is merely inserted in a recess (a groove) during use to correctly place the envelope 25 corresponding to a given depth of recess 17. A shaft 11 is rotationally moved from a first position to a second position to interact a first cutting edge 18 with a second cutting edge 19 for cutting a slip of paper off the envelope 25 and opening the envelope 25.</p> |
