PURPOSE:To execute an appropriate neighbourhood processing by storing knowledge information and deriving an appropriate neighbourhood processing pattern from a processing purpose and an image state, etc. which are inputted, based on the stored knowledge information. CONSTITUTION:A knowledge interpreting part 3 urges an input of an image state, a processing purpose, etc. to a user through a data input/output part 1 in accordance with necessity. Subsequently, these collected information and an intermediate result obtained in a deriving process are stored in a short term storage part 4, and while referring to data stored in this short term storage part 4, an application processing item sequence is derived by using rule information stored in a knowledge store part 2. Next, frame information 11 is retrieved successively in order of an application processing item in the sequence, when its application processing item sequence is obtained, a necessary neighbourhood processing pattern is fetched, and a neighbourhood processing pattern setting sequence is generated. Thereafter, by receiving the neighbourhood processing pattern setting sequence generated by the knowledge interpreting part 3, a neighbourhood processing pattern setting processing part 5 executing the neighbourhood processing pattern setting in order and allows an image processing part 6 to execute an appropriate neighbourhood processing. |
