<p>PURPOSE:To attain the input of the horizontal and vertical displacements by using a lever that can be pushed and pulled by fingers. CONSTITUTION:An external grip frame 1 has a shape easy to grip by fingers, and a finger interlock lever 2 has rings at its tip through which a thumb and a middle finger can be put. Thus the lever 2 is put into and pulled out of the frame 1. A displacement detecting coil 3 detects electrically the moved variable of the lever 2. A push button 4 is attached at the bottom part of the frame 1, and the switch ON and OFF signals are transmitted with push and release of the button 4 respectively. A displacement data transmission part 5 receives the signals from the coil 3 and the button 4 and transmits them to a computer. A data transfer wiring 6 functions to connect a data input device to the computer. Thus it is possible to transmit the vertical and horizontal displacement value data with the input device main body kept floating in the air with movements of two fingers. Then the input device can be operated with no flat place required.</p> |
