PURPOSE:To facilitate the restart in the case of the fuel exhaustion by installing a fuel pump which is driven in the case of air vent between a fuel feed pump and a fuel tank and connecting the air vent opened port of a fuel filter and the leak-off hose of a fuel injection nozzle. CONSTITUTION:When an engine stops because of the fuel exhaustion, fuel is supplied into a fuel tank 10, and a switch 42 is closed to drive an electromagnetic type fuel pump 40. Therefore, the fuel in the fuel tank 10 is sent under pressure to the outlet of a fuel filter 22 through a fuel feed pump 12 from a conduit 20, and the air in the pertinent fuel passage is discharged into the fuel tank 10 from an air vent opened port 36 through an air vent conduit 38, leak-off pipe 32, etc. Then, the engine is cranking-operated, and the air in the fuel feeding conduit is discharged through an overflow pipe 34 by the discharge pressure of the fuel feed pump 12, and then the switch 42 is opened to carry out the start of the engine, as in the ordinary case. |
