Digital force measuring device in which optical waveguides in the form of fibre-optic sensors are stuck in a spiral shape on the measuring surfaces of a rotationally symmetrical deformation body of a load cell. By means of deformation of the deformation body, different strains are generated in the optical waveguides, which strains result in interferences in the bundle of rays coupled into this optical waveguide and reflected, which are a measure of the force change and can be digitally counted and evaluated.
