The whip action limiting arrangement for wind turbine rotor includes supported box girder sections and flexible elastomer coupling. Rotor support (4) is rotatable via shaft (5) with blade (3). A first longitudinal box girder element (6) is fixed to rotor blade (3). A second similar box girder (7) is via supports (8,9) coupled to the rotor support. Flexible elastomer rods (10) are fitted between the box girders. To prevent excessive whip action of blade, damper elements (14,15) are via rod (16) connected to support bracket (17). |
