<p>An algorithm converts true lines into a selection of coordinate points on an X and Y axis coordinate grid for representing integral coordinate points representative of the line. These coordinate points correspond to pixel locations for printing of an image on a print medium. The algorithm takes into account the true endpoints of the line to be represented and derives a variance value which accounts for the position of the true endpoints relative to the initial integral coordinate points selected. This variance value then is carried through the computational process for each coordinate point selection, so that the cumulative variance signal represents the offset of the initial line endpoint. The result is the representation by integral coordinate points which are aligned with the true line, and which represent collinear lines collinearly.</p> |
